Our main objective was to make sure the insurance cover provided was inclusive and not dependent on Parish Councils asking the right questions. We believe that our Parish Council policy includes appropriate cover for good people doing the right thing for their communities.
Over the past few years we have also introduced Parish Councils to organisations who provide additional and important services; from playground inspections (via The Play Inspection Company, Property Valuations (via Cunningham & Lindsey) and recently a mapping facility for Parish Councils (via Parish online)).
We now know that many individuals who give their time freely on Parish Councils are also involved in other Charity and Not-for-Profit Organisations within their communities. Many of these organisations have insurance, but like Parish Council policies before we entered the sector, over the years have become out dated and again, are dependent on the insurance knowledge of the individuals involved. We are therefore delighted to announce the launch of our Charity & Not-for-Profit policy which mirrors the cover provided by our Aviva underwritten Parish Council policy. The intention is to make sure that good people doing the right thing for their communities, often as volunteers, are protected when doing so. It is unacceptable, that in the extremely litigious society we now live in, these individuals are left personally liable and exposed, when doing their bit for their community.
At Came & Company Parish Council Insurance our knowledgeable, professional and motivated team are dedicated to providing the highest possible levels of insurance advice, assistance and service. As Eric Galbraith, Chief Executive of British Insurance Brokers Association recently said, “Brokers not only provide risk management and insurance advice but create a competitive market by accessing a variety of Insurers. Local Councils are complex organisations and they should utilise the services of a broker to obtain the correct risk management and insurance programme from the whole market.”
It is my belief that the Charity and Not for Profit sectors deserve the same level of insurance advice, and we are now able to provide it for you. If you have any such organisations within your community, which would benefit from a quotation from us, we would be pleased to hear from them.
